Consider the following and ask yourself:
- Why do I want to take a yoga class?
- What do I want to get from a class?

If you are a beginner student the teacher should not only teach breathing but should go slowly and talk about how to get into and out of the postures with the use of correct diaphragmatic breathing.
For those familiar with yoga postures and breathing the teacher should be able to teach you to isolate movements and deepen your understanding of the posture with breathing (pranayama) and meditation.
