Hawthorn Hollow is the perfect place to explore this 4 week course on meditation. Walk the trails to quiet the mind, soothe the psyche, and nourish the body.  Utilizing the creek, woods, and prairie, topics will be presented to foster positive habits that cultivate a sense of connection within oneself.  Decrease your sympathetic nervous system and increase your parasympathetic nervous system.  Meet at the nature center

Yoga on the Trail

Meet at the Nature Center at Hawthorn Hollow.  We will walk to the prairie (near the school house), put out our mats and enjoy a short warm up practice. Then let’s get grounded and calm as we walk through the prairie and woods overlooking the Pike River, stopping for yoga along the way. We will end at our mats for a cool down and relaxation.  Perfect for Summertime away from everyday distractions.    


Yoga In Depth Thru Chakras

Explore chakras / energy centers, work with foundation postures, anatomy, alignment, the subtle energy, yoga philosophy, ayurvedic principles, diaphragmatic breathing, pranayama, and meditation.  Promote a holistic approach to health and wellbeing by understanding and encouraging the integration of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of oneself. Class ends with guided relaxation

Finding Ease: Body and Mind

Monday 5:30 - 6:30 PM

Do you have stiffness, restless sleep, tightness, tension, aches / pains or a mind that will not shut down? Focus on pelvic stability with slow targeted movements, proper breathing, and relaxation techniques. Restore balance, and increase health and wellness. Leave class feeling quiet, refreshed, and centered. End class with a guided relaxation.


Soothing and Calming

Yoga is fundamentally an act of kindness towards oneself to calm the mind and body. Using breathing practices to create self-awareness in this all levels hatha yoga class find balance and harmony within and around yourself. Release into relaxation and improve overall health and well-being.  Class will leave you feeling refreshed, relaxed for a good night's sleep.  End with a guided relaxation.  

Healthy Aging for Injury and Stiffness

A gentle therapeutic class focusing on breath awareness, alignment, mobility, coordination. Increase range of motion, strength, decrease aches and pains. Learn to sit, stretch, adapt poses and move more freely. Stand, sit, or use the floor to improve mobility, strength and balance. Class ends with a guided relaxation.

Use the healing art of yoga to lessen tension, dull aches, pains and discomfort and feel better in your daily living. Focus on breathing, alignment and components of meditation to create positive energy for daily living.   Class ends with guided relaxation.

Explore postures, breathing techniques, meditation, and self- healing practices for back, knees, shoulders, surgeries, joint replacements, and pelvic floor issues. Learn how/why certain postures work or don’t for your body to feel less tense, less stressed, and more joyful.  Find balance in life to practice the process improving everyday life.  End with a guided relaxation.

One-on-one sessions are wonderful for those who may be intimidated by a class, who want personalized instruction, or  have a specific condition. During this time you learn about your body  and how the body compensates for injury, tightness, or day-to-day  living. Private sessions may be of interest to those with health  concerns such as asthma, allergies, back issues, cancer, or other health  related aliments.

Wellness Coaching

By appointment only with certified yoga therapist ​Pamela Grubb. Wellness Coaching looks at you as a whole, your daily life, your eating and sleeping habits and your environment. Coaching on daily habits, mental health, relationship building and working on a better you helps clients to overcome their challenges and gain independence. The therapist's role is to empower clients to take a more active role in their self-care.

 Your first appointment is a 90 minute assessment and evaluation using the 7 dimensions of wellness of your mind, physical concerns, social, cultural, environmental, occupational, spiritual, and emotional well being.

Support sessions focus on the 7 dimensions of wellness which may include discussion of energy levels, sleep patterns, stressors, medical concerns, diet/nutrition and breathing. Sessions encourage looking at emotional reactions to life’s events around home-life, work and community and their effect on well-being.
