Yoga In Depth

Focus and explore yoga therapeutics. Learn greater awareness of the subtle energy with yoga philosophy and ayurvedic principles, the sister science to yoga- known as the science of life. Work with anatomy and alignment, hold poses longer, and deepen your awareness. Breath awareness pranayama, and meditation are taught. Class ends with guided relaxation.

A gentle hatha yoga practice with modifications and variations to classic postures to open and release the neck, back, and hips. Increase mobility and flexibility. Explore poses for strength, spinal health, alignment, and balance. Class ends with a guided relaxation.

Sit too much? Do you have stiffness, restless sleep, tightness, or aches and pains, anxiety and a mind that will not shut down? Is the new way of living getting to you? Learn focused breathing to release and let go. Use yoga poses for problem areas to increase and stimulate blood flow and decrease tension, tightness, and stiffness. Find new patterns for health and wellness. End class with a guided relaxation.

Using breathing practices to create self-awareness in this all levels hatha yoga class find balance and harmony within and around yourself. Learn breath centered awareness to restore balance in the mind and body.  Create stability for health and wellness. Nourish, soothe and ground to release stress, tension, fear and doubt. Find physical and energetic awareness working with the legs, pelvis, and abdominal regions to feel refreshed and stronger. Your back, hips, neck and shoulders will thank you.

End class with a guided relaxation.

Restorative Yoga

This class allows for total relaxation and breath awareness. Leave distractions and stresses of daily life behind. Use supportive postures and props (pillows, blankets, bolsters, blocks) to encourage gravity to create releases and openings for the body without the effort of “doing.” Benefits include reducing ever deeper muscle tension to improve range of motion, breathing, and overall mental health.

One-on-one sessions are wonderful for those who may be intimidated by a class, who want personalized instruction, or  have a specific condition. During this time you learn about your body  and how the body compensates for injury, tightness, or day-to-day  living. Private sessions may be of interest to those with health  concerns such as asthma, allergies, back issues, cancer, or other health  related aliments.

Wellness Coaching

By appointment only with certified yoga therapist ​Pamela Grubb. Wellness Coaching looks at you as a whole, your daily life, your eating and sleeping habits and your environment. Coaching on daily habits, mental health, relationship building and working on a better you helps clients to overcome their challenges and gain independence. The therapist's role is to empower clients to take a more active role in their self-care.

Support sessions focus on the 7 dimensions of wellness which may include discussion of energy levels, sleep patterns, stressors, medical concerns, diet/nutrition and breathing. Sessions encourage looking at emotional reactions to life’s events around home-life, work and community and their effect on well-being.
