An engaging class for experienced students and teachers. Take your practice to the next level. Focus and explore anatomy and alignment. Learn wants vs. needs of your mind and body. Work with foundation postures, the subtle energy, yoga philosophy, ayurvedic principles, diaphragmatic breathing, pranayama, and meditation. Class ends with guided relaxation.



Finding Ease: Body and Mind

Sit too much? Do you have stiffness, restless sleep, tightness, or aches and pains, anxiety and a mind that will not shut down? Is the new way of living getting to you? Learn focused breathing to release and let go. Use yoga poses for problem areas to increase and stimulate blood flow and decrease tension, tightness, and stiffness. Find new patterns for health and wellness. End class with a guided relaxation.

Yoga is fundamentally an act of kindness towards oneself to calm the mind and body. Using breathing practices to create self-awareness in this all levels hatha yoga class find balance and harmony within and around yourself. Release into relaxation and improve overall health and well-being.  Class will leave you feeling refreshed, relaxed for a good night's sleep.  End with a guided relaxation.

Back, Hips, Hamstrings

Gentle therapeutic practice using chairs, props, and the floor.  Focus on diaphragmatic breathing targeting the back, hips, hamstrings including knees, feet and shoulders. Improve overall health and wellbeing. Release and relax muscles and increase flexibility. Class ends with a guided relaxation.

Learn to use the healing art of yoga to lessen tension, dull aches, pains and discomfort and feel better in your daily living. Focus on breathing, alignment and components of meditation are taught. Class ends with guided relaxation.

This all-levels class focuses on movement, breathing, and relaxation to decrease stiffness and restore balance and stability of the mind/body  improving overall health and wellness. Nourish, soothe and ground, releasing stress, tension, fear and doubt. Leave class feeling quiet, refreshed, and centered.  Your mind and body will thank you. End class with a guided relaxation.

Hawthorn Hollow is the perfect place to quiet and focus the mind. Our playground is the beauty of nature to learn the 5-step approach for a daily practice to cultivate calm and support your inner journey. Course includes lecture, discussion, practice, breath awareness, finding a meditation seat, and techniques to quiet, focus and harness your busy mind. No experience needed.

One-on-one sessions are wonderful for those who may be intimidated by a class, who want personalized instruction, or  have a specific condition. During this time you learn about your body  and how the body compensates for injury, tightness, or day-to-day  living. Private sessions may be of interest to those with health  concerns such as asthma, allergies, back issues, cancer, or other health  related aliments.

Wellness Coaching

By appointment only with certified yoga therapist ​Pamela Grubb. Wellness Coaching looks at you as a whole, your daily life, your eating and sleeping habits and your environment. Coaching on daily habits, mental health, relationship building and working on a better you helps clients to overcome their challenges and gain independence. The therapist's role is to empower clients to take a more active role in their self-care.

Wellness Coaching First Appointment Assessment

Support sessions focus on the 7 dimensions of wellness which may include discussion of energy levels, sleep patterns, stressors, medical concerns, diet/nutrition and breathing. Sessions encourage looking at emotional reactions to life’s events around home-life, work and community and their effect on well-being.
