Hawthorn Hollow is the perfect place to explore Mindfulness and Meditation to quiet the mind, soothe the psyche, and nourish the body. Hike the creek, woods, and prairie for wellness and foster positive habits that cultivate a sense of connection within oneself and nature. Decrease your sympathetic nervous system and increase your parasympathetic nervous system. Meet at the nature center. We will be on uneven terrain.

Our playground is the beauty of nature at Hawthorn Hollow. Meet at the Nature Center and walk to the prairie (near the school house) and enjoy a practice specific for summertime and away from everyday distractions. Along the way learn to use the surroundings of nature to get grounded, calm, and relaxed.

Hiking, Yoga, and Meditation brings you back to yourself in the beauty of nature on the trails at Hawthorn Hollow. Meet at the Nature Center, walk to the prairie (near the school house), put out our mats and hike the woods overlooking the Pike River, stopping for some yoga / meditation along the way. End at our mats for relaxation. No experience needed. Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces. Perfect for Fall.
By appointment only with certified yoga therapist Pamela Grubb. Yoga therapy is the adaptation of yoga practices for people with health challenges. Yoga therapists prescribe specific regimens of postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques to suit individual needs.
Your first appointment is a 90 minute assessment, evaluation, and discussion of strengths and weaknesses. Appropriate techniques to reach desired goals and outcome will be addressed.
Following your first appointment, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly one-hour visits will be scheduled. A personal routine will be designed to improve overall health and well-being.
One-on-one sessions are wonderful for those who may be intimidated by a class, who want personalized instruction, or have a specific condition. During this time you learn about your body and how the body compensates for injury, tightness, or day-to-day living. Private sessions may be of interest to those with health concerns such as asthma, allergies, back issues, cancer, or other health related aliments.
By appointment only with certified yoga therapist Pamela Grubb. Wellness Coaching looks at you as a whole, your daily life, your eating and sleeping habits and your environment. Coaching on daily habits, mental health, relationship building and working on a better you helps clients to overcome their challenges and gain independence. The therapist's role is to empower clients to take a more active role in their self-care.
Your first appointment is a 90 minute assessment and evaluation using the 7 dimensions of wellness of your mind, physical concerns, social, cultural, environmental, occupational, spiritual, and emotional well being.

Support sessions focus on the 7 dimensions of wellness which may include discussion of energy levels, sleep patterns, stressors, medical concerns, diet/nutrition and breathing. Sessions encourage looking at emotional reactions to life’s events around home-life, work and community and their effect on well-being.
