Hawthorn Hollow offers an ideal environment to practice mindfulness and meditation, helping calm your thoughts, ease anxiety, and support overall wellbeing. Enjoy hiking along the creek, woods, and across prairie to enhance wellness and develop healthy habits promoting a sense of harmony with yourself and nature. Stimulate your parasympathetic nervous system while reducing sympathetic activity. Gather at the Nature Center. Uneven trails.

Enjoy hiking, yoga, and meditation at Hawthorn Hollow. Meet at the Nature Center, walk to the prairie, hike through woods along the Pike River, and pause for yoga and meditation. Finish with relaxation at your mat. No experience required; participants must be able to walk on uneven ground. Ideal for fall.

By appointment only with certified yoga therapist Pamela Grubb. Yoga therapy is the adaptation of yoga practices for people with health challenges. Yoga therapists prescribe specific regimens of postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques to suit individual needs.
Your first appointment is a 90 minute assessment, evaluation, and discussion of strengths and weaknesses. Appropriate techniques to reach desired goals and outcome will be addressed.
Following your first appointment, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly one-hour visits will be scheduled. A personal routine will be designed to improve overall health and well-being.
One-on-one sessions are wonderful for those who may be intimidated by a class, who want personalized instruction, or have a specific condition. During this time you learn about your body and how the body compensates for injury, tightness, or day-to-day living. Private sessions may be of interest to those with health concerns such as asthma, allergies, back issues, cancer, or other health related aliments.

Coaching on daily habits, mental health, relationship building and working on a better you helps clients to overcome their challenges and gain independence. The therapist's role is to empower clients to take a more active role in their self-care.
Your first appointment is a 90 minute assessment and evaluation using the 7 dimensions of wellness of your mind, physical concerns, social, cultural, environmental, occupational, spiritual, and emotional well being.
Following your first appointment, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly one-hour visits will be scheduled. A personal routine will be designed to improve overall health and well-being.
Support sessions focus on the 7 dimensions of wellness which may include discussion of energy levels, sleep patterns, stressors, medical concerns, diet/nutrition and breathing. Sessions encourage looking at emotional reactions to life’s events around home-life, work and community and their effect on well-being.
